Product Details

  • 3D Sets BeltDrive – the new transmission solution is durable, simple, and quiet because it uses timing belts. It allows the use of both cheap brushed and powerful brushless motors.
  • Easy maintenance – the front and rear axles are attached with just a few screws and can be very easily removed from the model. An integral part of the rear axle is the transmission with engine and ESC – the entire drive system can be removed from the body in one movement.
  • Easy-to-disassemble – Metal nuts are now embedded for repeatedly disassembled or stressed joints. Removing the axles is now much more convenient.
  • Preparation for the functional lights – the lights have prepared cavities for LED diodes, cable glands are prepared in the model.
  • Double Wishbone suspension – independently suspended front axle wheels with sophisticated wheel geometry. The axle can be mounted in 3 different height positions and the mounting of the shock absorbers can also be adapted. The axle uses a system of fully printed 3D Sets ball joints and is optimized for higher impact resistance.
  • The rear swing axle uses an innovative way of transmitting driving force by means of a swinging pulley, is adjustable to 3 height positions and dampers of various lengths can be used.
  • Truly functional 3D printed door handles – not for show, but prevent the door from opening while driving. Safety first!
  • The protective roll cage in the interior complements the sporty character of the Buggy, but it also really reinforces the model’s body.
  • Possibility to install the G-T Engine Sound System sound module – selection from 58 engine sounds. The module has a reserved space behind the front seats.
  • Highly detailed model of the engine – the engine covers the moving parts of the gearbox and it is possible to experiment with color by changing the filament during printing.
  • Innovative battery box with easy opening with rotary locks, easily accessible from the bottom of the model.
  • Many new details – e.g. realistic emboss on the inner parts of bodywork, fuel tank in the trunk, and more.

To build the model you only need some basic tools such as a screwdriver, a sharp knife, soldering iron and most importantly – a good mood.

Did you break something? Don’t worry, you’ll have a reprinted spare part in no time. Then loosen a few screws and replace the damaged parts. And – drive again immediately!

    After having printed numerous accessories for my RC hobby, and the recently printed a 59″ wing airplane, I came across 3D Sets and saw the Buggy. Since I love old VW’s and Baja Bugs, I decided to get the files for it.

    I was taken aback by the amount of time required to print some of the parts. I had never in 16 months of printing so far, had something take 2 days and 3 hours to print a part! lol.. But the design team did so well, and engineered this kit so well, that everything goes together just as designed and building the assemblies and putting it all together was SO MUCH FUN! My Baja Bug looks sick, looks badd azz, and I love it! My only difficulty, was in reading some of the views in the build guide. I am old skool, and used to old Revell and Monogram build sheets and they are very different than this modern computer stuff. But I eventually got it all sorted out and I think my next 3D Sets project will be easier for me, regarding the build sheets. I salute the team at 3D Sets for what they have done and look forward to many more projects from them.

    j’ai construit deux modèles de Beetle Buggy très heureux avec le modèle très bien fait. Les Coléoptères ne fonctionnent pas parce que j’attends que les pneus montent les roues. Les fichiers STL sont très bons, il faut beaucoup de patience et de compétences mécaniques pour les modifier. notez qu’il serait intéressant d’associer dans les plans d’assemblage le lien des différents fichiers STL pour gagner en ergonomie et en productivité.

    Hello,
    I built two models of Beetle Buggy very happy with the model very well made. The Beetles do not run because I am waiting for the tires to mount the wheels. STL files are very good it takes a lot of patience and mechanical skill to edit. note it would be interesting to associate in the assembly plans the link of the various STL files to gain in ergonomics and productivity.
    Very satisfied with the realism of the Buggy model
