Most intricate 3D models require a trip to the hardware store before or after printing—to buy bearings, dozens of metal screws, or the right glue.
When we were thinking about how to bring joy to the printing community, we remembered a model that had been waiting in our archive for some time. It wasn’t on the website, but it was perfectly designed and fine-tuned. And right then, the decision was made:
“What if we took a model that requires absolutely nothing extra to build—no metal, no glue—and gave it to everyone completely for free?”
And so Sandy Mini saw the light of day. The cute younger sister of our big, classic Sandy!
Celebrating Playfulness
We want to give all makers the chance to experience the quality of our STL files, the precision of our engineering, and our detailed instructions completely risk-free and with zero financial investment (well, except for the filament and the printer, which you already need to have).
Sandy Mini is our little teaser. You can get a feel for our style of work and experience the amazing feeling of a functional mechanical model coming to life under your hands.
And we also believe in what we do. We feel that our approach to 3D printing is rooted in pure childhood playfulness. And you know what? Even though we are in our late 40s, the joy of discovering, assembling, and building just never leaves us. We believe there are plenty of like-minded enthusiasts around the world – and Sandy Mini is our gift to all of you.
