Maker Faire 2026: Standing Next to a 3D Printing Icon

It’s been a minute since May’s Maker Faire Prague, but the memories are still super fresh. We didn’t want to write some stiff, corporate event report, so we just opened the Notes app on our iPhones, pulled out the quick thoughts we jotted down during the show, and put together this raw, authentic photo report.

The Prusa Sector Was Buzzing

This year, we scored an absolute prime spot at Výstaviště Praha. We were right in the middle of the Prusa “sector” as official partners, with the massive Prusa Research booth parked right next to us. Being part of their zone was a huge deal for us, and honestly, the best proof of how much the 3D Sets community has grown.

In reality, it meant one thing. A non-stop crowd, massive curiosity, and a solid buzz from morning till night. Jirka even managed a quick chit-chat with Josef Prusa, the founder of Prusa Research (though we missed the chance for a joint photo 😢).

When Things Quiet Down, Build a Track Out of Plastic Bottles

Even at a massive event like this, there are moments when the crowd thins out for a bit. But we don’t like leaving things to chance. Time to improvise!

We lined up some PET bottles in front of our booth to make a makeshift obstacle track, teamed up with our friends from RC truck models and their metal off-roader, and threw a wild driving exhibition featuring our Mogster and Sakura. Within seconds, a massive crowd packed around us again.

For a while, the action got even more interesting when Ivan Miranda joined the fun with his 3D-printed electric mini bike, the Mirandetta. What started as a spontaneous obstacle course quickly turned into an unexpected mixed-vehicle race, drawing even more attention from curious visitors and creating one of the most memorable moments of the weekend.

Crayons for Kids, Discounts for Parents

We wanted to make sure the youngest makers had some fun too. We created exclusive, custom 3D Sets coloring sheets specifically for this event, you won’t find them anywhere else. Combined with a pack of crayons, they were an absolute hit with the kids.

And what did the parents love? Flyers with a discount code for our models. A total win-win for the kids’ imagination and the adults’ wallets.

Outdoor Rides with SPTM

Every now and then, you just needed to escape the indoor hustle and grab some fresh air. The outdoor setup by our friends at SPTM was a mega success – people were literally lining up.

Our joint project with them was absolutely awesome. The SPTM guys were letting kids test-drive our Rescuers. Watching the sheer excitement on those little faces as they grabbed the rescue trucks, tore up the terrain, and immediately started asking how it’s built, designed, and printed… that was honestly the best reward.

An Event Close to Our Hearts

Maker Faire = pure passion for us. It’s the place where we finally crawl out of our workshops and offices, meet fellow creators and our amazing community, and share tips, opinions, and honest feedback face-to-face.

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by! Can’t wait for the next one.
